Currently, children from low-income families may benefit from free dental treatment offered by:
Treatment offered: dental check-up, dental radiographs, filling, scaling, and extraction (maximum HK$4,000 subsidy per child)
Eligibility:
- Children in K1 - K3; and
- Receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) or a beneficiary of the Kindergarten and Child Care Centre Fee Remission Scheme, or Grant for School-related Expenses for Kindergarten Students; and
- Referred by the Jockey Club Children Oral Health Project at the outreach dental check-up.^
As the scope of the free treatment services offered under the above project may not be sufficient to address all of the children's oral health concerns, our dentists will take into consideration a multitude of factors when deciding whether to refer a child to the Dental Care Project for Pre-school Children. Those who are referred to the Dental Care Project for Pre-school Children may not necessarily be the most severe cases. Our role is to direct children in need to the most suitable avenue for follow-up treatment.
